Configuration / Preferences

Many aspects of TWiki are configured by setting variables on special wiki pages. In the following list, later pages/contexts override earlier ones (unless a particular preference has been set to be FINAL at a previous level).

• TWikiPreferences - Shipped with TWiki, provides documentation and defaults
• TWikiPreferences - Site-wide settings as we configure them, apply to all Webs, overrides above
• web.WebPreferences - Per-web settings, apply to that web only, override above
  • WebPreferences - GNHLUG
  • WebPreferences - Org
  • WebPreferences - Main
  • WebPreferences - TWiki
  • WebPreferences - Sandbox - visible only if logged in
  • WebPreferences - Trash - visible only to administrators
• User preferences - You can set preferences in your own wiki page, Main.TWikiGuest, overriding the above.

There are also two config files which are not exposed via web UI. Only ServerPeople with SSH access can edit them. See AdminLog for a history of changes made to these.
