---++ Do you need to register?

   * The __only__ reason to register in !TWiki is so you can edit this website
   * Registration is __not__ required to participate in GNHLUG
      * You can call yourself a GNHLUG member without registering here
      * You can go to meetings or events without registering here
      * You can read and post to mailing lists without registering here
   * Already registered?  You can:
      * [[TWiki.ChangePassword][Change your password]] (after you login)
      * [[TWiki.ResetPassword][Request a password reset]] if you forgot it
   * Not sure if registered?  Check the [[Main.%WIKIUSERSTOPIC%][list of registered users]]

---++ Registration requirements

Registration is subject to the terms in our GNHLUG.LegalNotice.

In particular: Information you submit will be recorded and published on this wiki, including your name and email address.  If you are not comfortable with that, please do not register.

---++ Registration instructions

Immediately after you submit the registration form, you will be prompted for a username and password.  The username is =register= and the password is =granite= (all lower case).  This is not your own account login; this is a separate password, protecting the registration process.  We get so many robo-spam registrations we had to put measures in place to stop them.

Now that you know that, you can fill out and submit the [[TWiki.TWikiRegistration][registration form]].

After you submit the form:

   1. The system will e-mail an account activation code, to the e-mail address you gave above
   1. Follow the link in the e-mail, to activate your account

Once your account is activated, the system will:

   1. Register your account, so that you can login using your TWiki.WikiName
   1. Create your personal Topic page, using your !WikiName as the topic name
   1. Add your !WikiName to the list of users in the [[Main.%WIKIUSERSTOPIC%][Main.%WIKIUSERSTOPIC%]] topic
   1. Send you a confirmation e-mail about your registration
