• Determine what exists currently
  • Determine what members are currently missing out on meetings and try to get them involved (in particular)
  • Pick a date and time for regular meetings
  • Find a location (one that is expected to be used most or all of the tikme)
  • Locate or create documentation on current infrastructure
  • Identify missing infrastructure and delegate responsibility for each item
  • Identify local businesses that may have people who wish to present
  • Find "filler" presentations for the meetings in which there are no guest speakers (what are we good at, what do we have experience with?)

If you are resurrecting a past chapter:

  • Try to contact previous organizers and find out what went wrong
  • Try and use the same schedule and location, if possible
