Base Configuration

• Backup planning
• Monitoring
  • setup outside probes for "up"/"down" services
  • Internal monitoring for both hardware and software health
    • Hardware: Temperature, fan speed, etc.
    • Software: Disk space, system load, RAID status, etc.
  • Cole is going to setup Nagios for more detailed monitoring
  • Notification mechanisms still vague

Migration from Hive

This is essentially complete. It consisted of:

• Creating a server from scratch using CentOS (thanks BenScott)
• Copying the apache configuration and web pages to it.
• Configuring it to the co-lo's network infrastructure (thanks MV Communications)
• Making it "live".

However, this only takes care of the web pages for GNHLUG. What's left is the mailing list. See Migration from Rogue.
