Nowadays more businesses are providing VPN
solutions for employees that use the internet instead
of phone line. This is really fast for people with
Cable modem or DSL. In this case the traffic channel
must be encrypted since it can be too easily sniffed.
Many solutions exists, IPSEC, proprietary, etc. Our
poor man's VPN will use a ssh-to-sshd encrypted
link.
